Rixnae sighed, dragging herself down to the Training Room. She hadn't done too much since she'd been back - though, admittedly, being pregnant and having a c-section should be reason enough to take it easy and not do too much for a few days. Yet, that wasn't quite her thing, not at all. The way she'd even discovered that she'd needed a c-section was proof of that.

But right now, she was feeling restless. And for once since she'd returned, she decided to do something useful. And doing it on her own. Telling someone would lead to being yelled at - something she wasn't in the mood to deal with.

Drystan was napping, and she had Patchy watching him - with orders to call her immediately if he started screaming, or worse. She set up the TR controls to one Bookmaster; not too simple, but hopefully not too hard for the condition that she's in.

Schlepping down to the arena part, she summoned her weapons to face her opponent.

The Bookmaster floated there, waiting almost. It looked ready to cast it's magic at Rix, until she threw some of her needles at it. It flew back, hit momentarily stunned, but recovered and shot a blast of it's magic at her. She managed to dodge out of the way, hissing slightly in pain as she got singed on the arm and her movements aggravated her stomach. Putting a hand on the stitches, she casted cure on it, healing it partially for now, at least. With a growl, she summoned longer needles and launched another assault.

Some of the needles met more blasts from the Heartless in mid-air; some missed entirely. Others, however, hit their mark, knocking it backwards more. Recklessly, she hobble-ran at it, stumbling a little as she did. One needle formed in her hand as she went. Hand still on her stomach, she brought the other to stab, but lost her course as she tripped and fell to her knees in an effort to duck under some new blasts. Hissing again, she took a deep breath before using her last needle like a dagger, stabbing upwards at the underside of the Bookmaster.

Finding her mark, the needle sank in. Confused, it floated away as fast as it could, with Rix sending a few more needles it's way. Suddenly, it burst and she stopped - she'd quite forgotten that she'd been fighting a simulation, and not a real one. She slowly stood, feeling her stomach, quite sure that some stitches might have torn. Sighing, she ported herself up to the infirm; she didn't need to hurt herself more than she was by wasting the energy walking.

Tired and drained, she searched the infirm for what she needed - a potion and an elixer. Scrunching her face, she swallowed the liquids she despised so much.

But now, she couldn't think of herself.

She had to think of her son, who needed his mother. She wouldn't allow her stubbornness to take her away from the child who needed her.

Porting back into her room, she paid Patchy and dismissed her, leaving herself alone with her still sleeping son. Smiling, she kissed his head before changing into her pajamas, checking to make sure that nothing had torn. Laying down on her bed in the clean clothes, she was soon asleep - at least until Drystan began crying. Tending to the premies needs, she fought back a huge yawn, at least until he was sleeping again. Hurrying back to bed as fast as she dared, she quickly fell into a dreamless sleep.

She'd right her training report later. Right now, sleep and recovery were more important.
Look! Rix did a mission! o:

Cuz... that doesn't happen all too often. .w.

But of course, she had to be stupid and hurt herself more.

Rixnae, Drystan, and Patchy belong to me, :icondemyx-muffin:
